“I’ve been wanting to write this post for a while now…
If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you probably know that this post has been a long time coming. Every time I share a story from my office, or when someone visits, I always get questions like:
“Finally that day has come, I’m so excited to share this post with you and give you all the details about my journey to designing my little kingdom 🥰 — my home office, the place where I spend so many hours of my daily routine…”
How I designed it. How I chose each piece. Why. And where to get it
“If you’ve been following me since the early days of ‘Hadasim,’ you probably know that I started building this dream 🥰 about four years ago, right at the beginning of the pandemic. Back then, all I had was a Lenovo laptop — and that’s it. (I don’t think I even had a mouse at the time 🫣). And that’s how I started my blog: me, with my laptop, working from the table in the living room.
I probably don’t need to tell you how challenging that was 🙈. Trying to focus in the living room, with everyone walking around, eating, playing, talking… I didn’t even have a dedicated space just for me. It was tough.
Over time (I think about a year later…), I decided to carve out a little corner for myself on the side of the living room. I took an unused corner, bought a desk, got a computer mouse, and added a few personal touches. Honestly, it was a huge improvement. Finally, I had a space of my own 🙂 I could keep it organized the way I liked and work with more focus.
“But, my vision, I always imagined having my own personal office☺️. A whole room just for me, where I could separate work from home life. A peaceful and quiet space, with room for everything. And finally, a place I could design with all the values, beliefs, branding, and language of ‘Hadasim,’ exactly as I dreamed 😍.
So, after a joint decision, Raphael and I decided to transform our ‘storage room’ at home 😵💫 into my favorite room in the house😀.”
I was all over Pinterest for a while, trying to create the perfect inspiration board for the design I wanted…
I knew from the start that white would dominate the room 🤍.
I wanted a very clean and visually soothing design. From there, I planned to incorporate the color palette of Hadasim through the textiles and various details I’d add to the room: soft pinks, light creams, and delicate shades of green.
So, after we cleared the room, cleaned, and repainted the walls white, it finally felt fresh and new again.
I then made my initial list for the office design, which included:
The first step was moving the Desk from the small office corner I created in the living room. It was practically brand new and exactly the desk I wanted: an IKEA BEKANT in white. It’s a relatively large desk with adjustable height, which is really nice. (Though the height adjustment is a one-time setup during assembly, it’s perfect for anyone who is a bit taller or shorter and wants the desk at just the right height.)
Next, I looked for an office chair at HATTEFJÄLL model in a Light beige cream-gray, complete with armrests. It has adjustable height, armrests, and back support, making it super comfortable.
Later on, when I started working on my podcast and knew I’d be hosting guests for recordings in my office, I searched for an additional chair that would suit my hosting style better. I found a more ‘lounge-style’ chair at IKEA that matched the colors of my office chair perfectly — I couldn’t have asked for anything better 🤗. It’s a swivel chair on wheels, with adjustable height, in a cozy lounge style, from the TOSSBERG / MALSKAR collection in matching tones. This design is much more fitting for hosting.”
Next to the desk, I added a drawer unit from the ALEX– line (without wheels). I chose to place it beside the desk instead of underneath to keep the space open and comfortable. On the unit, I positioned a power strip that’s relatively discreet, making it both convenient and accessible. Plus, it helps keep the whole ‘cable situation’ in the office looking neat and visually pleasing. In the drawers, I store essentials that I need on hand for my daily work, like pens, highlighters, a stapler, paper clips, notepads, chargers, and so on…
The Cabinets I spent a lot of time searching for cabinets for the office. I wanted something that wouldn’t draw too much attention in terms of design, with a soft, minimalist look, yet still had its own charm and beauty. Of course, I found just what I was looking for at IKEA. I picked a tall cabinet from the BILLY / OXBERG line, featuring a very delicate and minimalist design. It has open shelves on the top and closed storage on the bottom. I also got a matching Tall Cabinet that offers closed storage only, also from the BILLY / OXBERG. collection
On the desk, in the center, I have a clear laptop stand for my Mac, which has been a fantastic solution for my neck issues 🙈. I ordered the stand from Temo after a lot of searching for something that would be both sturdy and aesthetically pleasing. The mouse pad is excellent and really comfortable — also from Temo.
I have an ergonomic mouse [I can’t explain the incredible difference it made in alleviating the pain and joint inflammation I had before using it]. There’s also a keyboard and a desk lamp FUBBLA (from IKEA) with a flexible arm that allows me to adjust the lamp’s position and offers various light settings.
Additionally, I have a white and wood tissue box, a small, stylish earth globe on a stand, and two containers for pins and paper clips (all from Max Stock). There’s a gold ruler, a light gray hourglass (from IKEA), and two gold coasters along with a cream-colored plate (from Fox Home) for golden clips and small golden scissors.
I also keep a small light green desk calendar and a cream-gold weekly planner (from Flying Tiger). A small iPhone stand (I don’t remember where I ordered it from, but it might have been from AliExpress a few years ago) is super useful, especially when I’m working with my iPhone alongside my Mac. There’s a pencil holder (from Flying Tiger) filled with colorful pencils and a large pencil sharpener, as well as a container for keeping small receipts (from IKEA). Lastly, I have three small bowls in light brown, cream, and pale teal (from Golf & Co) with quartz stones inside, plus a little bottle for essential oils or jewelry.
On the open shelves, I have my two white microphones (from BLUE-YETI). Not only are they stunning decorative pieces for my office, but I also have a special place in my heart for them — they were the first microphones I used when I took the plunge and launched my podcast ☺️.
I also keep white binders (which I use quite a bit in my daily routine), along with camera lenses that I use for photoshoots, and they double as stylish decor for the office 🥰. There’s a huge pink candle (from IKEA), a small stack of magazines, and a gorgeous round vase in antique pink (from Golf & Co), along with a small pink bird.
On the shelves, I have two plates with pink and white office pins, a personal development book by Dr. Joe Dispenza, and on the top shelf, there’s an artist figurine made of wood (from IKEA).
On the lower cabinet, I chose to place the printer, which on the one hand takes up quite a bit of space (which is why I didn’t want to place it on the desk or drawer unit), but on the other hand, it’s a beautiful item in itself, making it a great fit for the cabinet 🙂 Alongside it, the perfect diffuser 😍 from Baby Teva, which is also beautifully designed in white and wood tones, just right for the office. It adds a natural and pleasant look while creating the calm and relaxed atmosphere I wanted to bring into the office with Baby Teva’s yoga oil set. A bowl with matches (Golf&co), Robin Sharma’s daily inspiration book, and 2 large scented candles (also from Baby Teva).
Inside the cabinets, I store additional office supplies, personal development and learning books, photography equipment, and more
On the floor, next to each of the cabinets, I placed two small rugs (55/85 cm) of the SORTSO model in a light cream-natural shade. These flat-woven rugs, with fringes on the sides, add a natural and pleasant atmosphere to the room.
I have two plant pots with different designs: one is a white SOJABONA plant pot. The other is a bit different — a handcrafted plant pot with a natural look, the VALLMOFRON, which I placed next to the curtain under my inspiration board. It blends beautifully with the colors and adds a more natural and warm touch to the office.
Across from the drawer unit, in the corner of the room, I added a white trash can (which is actually also a matching plant pot, the SOJABONA).
Inspo board. I searched everywhere for something large and significant. I dedicated a relatively big wall in my office to it because I wanted it to be an integral part of the space, designed beautifully and with enough presence. When I couldn’t find anything suitable, I turned to Pinterest and found a DIY guide to create the inspiration board exactly as I envisioned. I made a few tweaks of my own and got to work 🙂 In the post titled The Perfect Inspiration Board, I shared everything you need to know to create one just for you.
For the curtains, I found the HANNALILL model at IKEA. The curtains are in a beige-cream shade that complements the atmosphere of the office chairs. (Note that they come in two variations — sheer and more opaque. I chose the sheer option to keep it light and allow natural light into the office, even when the curtains are closed.)
On the wall behind, I hung a wall clock I found at Golf & Co, which is perfect ☺️. It’s in white and made from stone, adding another piece that brings in the natural vibe I was so eager to incorporate into the office.
This is my office 🥹
It has truly become a little kingdom for me, equipped with everything I need for my business 🥰.
I made sure to incorporate — inspiration, cleanliness, and aesthetics. A space for imagination, creativity, and my biggest dreams.
Physical equipment, Order, and organization for work and productivity.
And a natural, pleasant atmosphere that reminds me that pace is a matter of perspective. Everything is happening all the time. What I sit down to create is not limited by anything
I love to switch things up in my office every now and then, especially with the little details or just by giving it a fresh style…
Drop a comment if you think I missed something or if you have any cool suggestions to boost the vibe, design, or gear in my space! 🤭✨
