Inspiration Board and Goal Setting: in the best way

At the start of 2020, I told myself this would be my year to start creating and doing everything that truly matters to me and what I genuinely love!

I had the foundation of what I wanted in place:

After falling in love with the world of NLP and personal development 💝, I felt I was becoming more and more skilled in this area.

I spent over two years learning about blogging and creating my own website.

Writing has been a passion of mine since childhood.

I had even acquired some photography skills…

But I knew deep down that even with all this, I needed to step out of my comfort zone and start applying everything I’d learned.

It was a decision I’ll probably remember for years to come…!!! 🙂

I’m definitely giving myself a pat on the back for an amazing six months that have passed.

And now, as we’re just a ‘second’ away from the half-year mark 😃

It’s a perfect time to take a small pause, refresh my inspiration board, and refine and sharpen my goals..

And Here, I’ve decided to share exactly how I set my goals and create a precise inspiration board! 😇

Important note! Setting goals is crucial not only for running your own business but for any achievement or change you want to create in your life, whether it’s personal or professional. 🤍

Step 1: Reviewing the Goals you’ve Set at the Beginning of the Year.

*If you didn’t set goals for the upcoming year at the beginning of the new year, feel free to skip

But I would recommend, at least jotting down 4 or 5 things for yourself, because let’s face it, in the past half a year – you’ve achieved, fulfilled, or progressed in some way! 🌟

This step goes beyond just checking off tasks you’ve already completed.

It provides you with a map to see and understand ‘what changes you’ve gone through mentally’ in this past half year.

In essence – what things did you write down for yourself then… and how do you see them today…

There might be things you thought would be really tough to achieve, but you’ve managed to reach them with ease.

There might be surprises, and new things you’ve discovered along the way…

It’s interesting… and it’s crucial for the next step, when you’ll set goals for the second half of the year…

So, after you’ve gone through everything:

Mark ✔️ off everything you’ve completed. Delete what you consider not relevant’. And remove everything off the “waiting list”. 🤩

Let’s move on to the next step👇🏻

Step 2: Refining Your Goals!

With the “New goals” you set for yourself earlier this year, along with those you’re already “In the progress” of doing, and those you “Haven’t achieved yet”, it’s time to organize and refine your goals.

The best way, in my opinion, to write down new goals is to divide the page in front of you into three sections, or simply take three separate pages.

In the first one, jot down “My Goals:”

Write down in bullet points

  • what are the main things you want to achieve for yourself.
  • What are the goals/objectives you want to reach?

Next to each one, add a date/deadline for achieving the goal.

In the second one, write down “Sub-Goals:”

These are smaller goals that you’ll achieve along the way, helping you to reach the bigger goals you’ve written down earlier.

(Note that for every ‘big’ goal you’ve written, you can find smaller things to achieve, which, in your opinion, could help you advance towards that goal.)

I also recommend adding a date next to each sub-goal; it’s very precise and focused!

In the third one, write down “My Approach to Achieving Each Goal:”

What are the means you need to achieve this goal?

And what actions do you need to take for it?

Remember that ultimately, it’s up to you to take action. These are the actions for your progress.

We’re not responsible for the results we get, but we are responsible for the actions we take!!

And when you’re in motion and taking action, wonderful things will happen and come to you. You’ll achieve amazing things, perhaps even more than you thought…

Step 3: Creating an Inspo Board

What is inspiration?

Inspiration isn’t mere imitation!

Inspiration is crucial in molding and transforming you to become the ultimate version of yourself.

You usually find inspiration from someone who’s already where you aspire to be. Or from someone whose goal is to bring you the information you need.

So, how do you do it?

Search! Today, you can find information on just about anything you desire… really easily!!!

Whether it’s through Google, where there’s a wealth of material and information on everything. (Yes, it’s important to pay attention to reliable information, not to rush and believe everything you read the first time. With the abundance of information available, it’s easy to get distracted quickly. -So to prevent that from happening to you, it’s best to search and stick to a source of information you’ve connected with, and you know are reliable and good for your purpose!)

And of course, also on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest… Information is not scarce – almost anything you want.

After you’ve gathered enough information

Start creating your inspiration board 🤗

I personally create it on my phone too – with ‘notes’ and in the gallery.

And also, an actual board at home. – To create an inspiration board exactly like I’ve made for myself – click here ‘DIY Perfect Inspiration Board This is how you make it on your own!’

I create the board with words, sentences, and of course, with pictures.

For example, if it’s important to you to redecorate your home in the upcoming half year, in a new and refreshing way…

Add to your inspiration board, include pictures of home designs you liked. And also sentences related to beauty, design, home, love… Those that ignite in you every time the passion and desire to do whatever it takes to achieve it ! 😊

And now it’s precisely the time to sit down and write your vision for the fallowing half a year 🤩”

final step 4: Writing your vision! 😋

What a joy! After completing all the previous steps, you’ve reached the final long awaited final step And , the most exciting step

For me, it ignites every time the passion within me and the excitement for action and progress in life in general…

At this stage, let your thoughts run wild, let your imagination flourish, and remember that for everything, there’s simply a way – all you need to do is take it and reach your destination… 😇

Take a sheet of paper and write to yourself ‘By the end of the year…’:

And underneath, write how you see yourself, and your place – after all the changes you’ve made, and the goals you’ve achieved.

Essentially ‘place yourself’ at this future point for a moment. And ‘tell yourself ‘In writing (in past tense) everything you did. Achieved. And what fun it is that you were once day 1, 2, 3…

Write down exactly what you see at that point in the foreseen future … how you see yourself… what you hear… what you feel… get as detailed as possible, this will sharpen and clarify your vision more and more in the best possible way! ✌🏻”

And now, as you’re geared up and ready for the next six months, full power! 💪🏻🤩

My small (but big) tip for you –

Learn to be there* for yourself always! And know with true willpower and strong passion, you can achieve anything you truly desire!!
