7 Winning Habits for a Better Morning Routine You Should Start Adopting Today
Here’s a translation that keeps a professional tone while engaging a young adult audience:
“If your morning routine starts with hitting the snooze button at least three times, and from there you find yourself rushing to get ready… running to catch the bus or driving anxiously into traffic… Maybe the stress of getting ready even made you forget one or two important things you wanted to take with you today.
And maybe, just maybe, it even makes you frustrated with yourself every morning 🙁
Believe me, I know how frustrating it can be.
And that’s exactly why I decided to make this post 👇🏻
Since I started adopting a much more organized (and sensible) morning routine, my mornings look completely different and have become much more enjoyable!”
A good morning routine has a big impact on the rest of our day, so it’s worth investing in a calm, healthy, and organized start!
1# Start the night before
One of the best habits I’ve adopted for myself is preparing for the next day the evening before.
Knowing exactly when you want to wake up, what tasks you need to accomplish in the morning, what you want to wear, when you need to leave the house, and estimating how much time you’ll need for a relaxed and enjoyable morning…
Even just having this information clearly laid out is a huge step forward! In my opinion, it’s the most important part!
If you can also ‘save’ yourself some tasks by organizing them the night before, that’s an even bigger bonus! 🙂
#2 Phone on Airplane Mode
I have to admit, I’m still practicing this. Sometimes it feels straightforward, while other times, it requires a bit of inner effort from me. But there’s something truly magical about waking up to a phone free of notifications!
So, what can you do?
Right before you go to sleep, whether you keep your phone close to your alarm clock or leave it in the living room, clear your home screen of any pop-up notifications and set it to airplane mode. That way, when you wake up, you’ll have a ‘clean’ phone with no alerts or “important messages.” Everything can wait at least an hour after you wake up, giving your mind time to become more alert and conscious!
The hour before we fall asleep and the hour after we wake up are when our subconscious is more active than our conscious mind. That’s why it’s important to manage these hours in a way that we choose—what we want our subconscious to absorb during this time and what we don’t! (This is also why many people listen to guided meditations before bed.) Cultivating calmness, positivity, and beneficial thoughts during these times can significantly impact your day! 🙂

#3 Rise and Shine ,Naturally
Waking up– naturally is something our bodies can adjust to quite quickly. (You can see this clearly when you return from a week-long trip abroad; your biological clock struggles to revert to its ‘normal’ hours back home.) Therefore, if you wake up at the same time every morning for even a short period, you’ll notice how your body adapts to it relatively quickly, allowing you to start waking up naturally at that time—something that can save you from the daily ‘battle’ with the alarm clock. It enables you to rise in a more relaxed and calm manner—waking up naturally.
Getting up early- has a special quality—allowing you to soak in the peace and tranquility of the early morning hours. It also gives you plenty of time for a relaxed morning routine!
#4 Gratitude
Start Your Morning with Gratitude!
If we previously discussed (#2) the levels of awareness in our consciousness—how, during the first hour of the morning, it’s predominantly our subconscious that is active rather than our conscious mind—your initial thoughts of the day are critical for how you feel throughout the day. What enters your subconscious can accompany you all day long without you even being aware of it.
Therefore,
Practicing gratitude in the morning introduces positive thoughts, appreciation, and focus on what exists and is good in your life, leaving you with an amazing feeling.
A tip that I personally used for a long time: keep a small notebook on your bedside table and every morning, as soon as you wake up, jot down a few words of thanks or things you are grateful for in your life.
That moment acts like an incredible meditation for your subconscious! (If you have a few extra minutes to dedicate to a short meditation or breathing balance, consider it a huge bonus!
#5 Organizing Your Bedroom
Organizing the bedroom also has a mental impact on how we feel at the start of a new day. It creates a neat and pleasant atmosphere at home and helps kick off the day in an organized manner.
I really love to stick to this routine!
*Additionally, knowing that you’ll return to an organized room at the end of the day has a tremendous effect. It creates a cycle of ‘evening to morning’ that continues… :
#6 A glass of Lemon Water
those who know me, even a little, know that my morning coffee is a must-have, I rarely skip!
Still, just before my coffee (I started this about three years ago), I drink a large glass of water (cold, lukewarm, or hot—depending on the season) with half a squeezed lemon (sometimes even more) to cleanse my body and kickstart my morning with a refreshing boost.
Drinking lemon water in the morning also aids digestion, boosts the immune system, and offers many other benefits that truly make this amazing habit worth it! :
#7 Invest in Your Routine
Every morning, I can’t imagine skipping my time to get ready the way I love. Whether it’s cleansing my face, applying moisturizer and makeup, styling my hair, getting dressed comfortably, or enjoying my coffee alone…
Everyone has their own important routines.
What truly matters is the time you give yourself to prepare in a way that feels good! Take the time to do what’s important to you and start your day by investing in yourself!
You might feel like not everything is possible for you right now, and that’s okay.
If you’ve made it this far in the post, it shows you want to make a change. I recommend starting to include what matters most to you and slowly turning it into a routine. Once it’s a habit, it becomes much easier!
Every beginning is tough, but it’s worth the effort! Once it becomes routine, it’s a lot simpler! 🙂
Good luck! ✌🏻
Let me know which point you’ll start with tomorrow! 😃
